Research Projects

Making things, or taking them apart, has always been a part of human culture. We seek to understand, and to create new functional or aesthetic items as the need or desire arises. The act of creating something new provides an opportunity to express our creativity and imagination.

At Isotope60, we enjoy conducting research and testing new ideas. This provides us with a way to systematically generate, or refine our human knowledge. We enjoy exploring unfamiliar technologies, describing conditions, collecting data, and analyzing what we find.

Knowledge is the most useful when shared with others, which is why we support broad, free dissemination of what we learn. This is one of the reasons for the creation of this website. We encourage you to learn from our work and our mistakes. And we will make many mistakes along the way, hopefully so you can learn and avoid doing what we've done.

Trying to understand the way nature works involves a most terrible test of human reasoning ability. It involves subtle trickery, beautiful tightropes of logic on which one has to walk in order not to make a mistake in predicting what will happen.
